Wheelchair user find the use of platform lifts essential for day to day use to get around the house or place of work especially when they need to get to other floors.  They are extremely practical for wheelchair users and don’t necessarily need a massive amount of room to be fitted as the seats fold away when not in use allowing able bodied people to still have full use of the staircase.

With changes in laws regarding disabled people all new building are required to have disabled access at exits and within the building to allow wheelchairs users easy access.
